Happy Birthday Micah(&Mommy)
My Sweet Baby Boy turned two today...and I turned 34! We had a great day. I went to the after Christmas sales and then spent the night with our family. Went to our favorite Mexican restaurant and then came back to the house and continued the birthday party. Micah will have a party with friends in a few weeks, but tonight we celebrated together. Micah was my little present two years ago and he is a true blessing to our family. I could not imagine life without him. I love you my sweet baby boy.

Getting Ready For Christmas
We have been so busy preparing for this holiday season. As I sit here and type I think of all the things we have done and yet we so many are forgetting the true meaning of this holiday season. No matter how busy our lives are lets not forget the true meaning of this Glorious Season. I wish everyone peace this holiday and enjoy every minute with your family.

This is what happened in September...
So now that is the middle of October, I thought I would update you on our September. Over Labor Day weekend, my best friend Jenny and her husband Ryan came in town with baby Sarah Lynn. We hung out at the pool, cooked out and went to the Birmingham Zoo. It was so good to see them and to meet baby Sarah. Sarah Lynn even got to meet my other friend Jeni's baby Sarah Elizabeth. Yep, to Jenny's (Jeni's) and two Sarah's. But we figured it all out.
We took Micah and Noah to see Sesame Street Live, Elmo Makes Music. It was more for Micah, but Noah enjoyed himself. Micah LOVES Melmo (as he says).
Noah began playing soccer and is doing quite well. Thank goodness the season is almost over, because it is getting exhausting, practice twice a week, games every Saturday. Too much to do and little time to do it. We even went to the Shelby County Fair, that was a first time experience for all of us. It reminded me of being a kid and growing up in Staunton, Illinois. Just a little bit country if you know what I mean. I hope to get better about posting, but I am back in school and I have a major project I am working on (well trying to work on, suppose to be working on) and another class starting Tuesday. But, all is well in the Clayton house and we hope all is well in yours.

Summer ... Already over???
Well, it has flown by and I can't believe my baby is starting BIG school on Thursday. We have kept busy since our beach trip and had lots of fun. Micah got a big boy haircut, and Noah wanted his to spike up. So he got a cut too. We went to South Carolina over the 4th of July and spent time with family on the lake and at Angie's house. We had a blast. Noah lost his first tooth this summer! He is getting to BIG and can hardly stand it. He went to Kindergarten camp for a week, to get oriented to the school and procedures. It was great. We have spent a lot of time at the zoo, the movies a few times, and of course the swimming pool. Last week our friends Jeni and Jason's baby was baptized and we are the proud Godparents. This past weekend they all came over to swim and cook out and boy did the boys have a blast. Enjoy the pics and sorry there are a ton. I will keep you posted on BIG School.

Beach 2008
Last week we spent 5 days at Ms. Elaine's Beach Cottage for our annual beach trip. We have been going every year at least once since Noah was about 8 weeks old. We enjoy spending time in her pool and going down to the beach. This year we did something a bit different and went on a Pirate Cruise. It was all about the kids on board. They had a water fight with a boat passing by, had sword fights, games, heard a story, and then we found a hidden treasure in the ocean. However, the saddest part of the trip was when we dropped the camera and it broke, so we had to buy a new one at Target. You can't be at the beach without a camera, especially when you have a blog spot to keep up. It was sooo much fun, Noah was a true pirate for the night. We went to eat at our usual hang out Sharky's because they have a playground and a pirate ship to play on. We spent most of our time though at home or on the beach. We got breakfast a few days at the famous Thomas Donuts! And we adventured out again one night for dinner at Pineapple Willy's. Micah was a real trooper and finally got use to the sand all over him, but he really enjoyed playing with the squirt bottle on the beach the most. Noah I believe enjoyed swimming in the pool more than the beach. He really enjoyed it when he got to go night swimming. Mimi was actually down at the beach for a weekend with a friend and she came and hung out with us for awhile on Saturday, because her friend was feeling a little under the weather that day after an asthma attack on the way down Friday. The boys enjoyed spending time with her and I know she loved every minute of it too. We are looking forward to a trip again next year, but Mark and I will have to admitted we'd like to go back again for a few days just the two of us. We'll see!!

Arm Saga....
Being a mom I decided I would feel more comfortable going to Noah's own Dr. Besides his arm was looking very swollen around his elbow. So Monday we went to see Dr. G. I took the xrays with me. He looked at his arm, felt it, pushed on it,(SCREAM) turned it (SCREAM), said let me go look at the x rays, because it is acting like a fracture. He looked at the x rays and said there was no visible break, but it could be his growth plate which does not show up on xrays. He sent us to the orthopedist. Well, he looked at it, felt it , Pushed it (SCREAM), turned it (SCREAM) and said "I think he fractured the head of his radius" More xrays and sure enough he cracked the head of his radius. Well he is only in a sling, not a cast because of where it is it would stiffen his elbow to much. So we are in a sling for 3-4 weeks. the good news is he can get in the pool if he wants to. Which is great since we leave Saturday for the beach. I am glad that he is not in a cast because that would make a long summer. I will keep you updated on it.
The Arm Saga Continues
Well, we woke up on Sunday morning (Father's Day) and Noah's arm and fingers were SO swollen!! So after watching Noah for awhile who still was not using his arm, celebrating Father's Day with Marks dad, and putting together a trampoline, I decided to take him to American Family Care. Well...we all know how Doc in the Boxes work. It took forever!!! After some x-ray of his forearm (that is where he said it hurt) seeing the doc. It was determined that it was not broken, however it could have been a green stick fracture, or a sprain, or it may be his growth plate. Noah was sent home with sling, some pain meds, meds for swelling. It was told that if he didn't start using it intentionally in few days we would need to see an orthopedist. So we then went to GG and Big Paw Paw's new house to celebrate Father's Day. The story will continue...
Noah is 5
Noah turned 5 on June 11!! I can hardly believe my baby will be going to BIG school in the fall!!! On his birthday we celebrated by going to Chuck E Cheese with Mimi, Paw Paw, GG, and Big Paw Paw. We all had a great time and Noah was really excited about his Rocket Flying Fishing Rod!! He could probably tell you the number to call off the TV to order the crazy thing. We had Noah's party Saturday at the park, but he had another party to go to that morning also at a park. Well, that turned into an ordeal when he fell off the monkey bars. When daddy brought him home he was in a lot of pain, so we iced it, elevated it, rested it and then went on to his birthday. Well, he did not get any better, he wouldn't really play, he didn't want to leave the ice off. He finally came around to open his presents and he did finally play some. He was very excited about all his presents especially the trampoline!!! As the night progressed he really wasn't using his arm he didn't complain about it hurting, but he didn't use it. I wrapped it in an ace bandage for the night. The story will continue....

Birmingham's Most Photogenic Baby
As many of you are aware we have been entering Noah in Birmingham's Most Photogenic Baby Contest benefiting Children's Hospital for several years now and why should this year be any different, except we entered Micah too. When it was time for the photo shoot Micah was a little bit uncooperative, until Mimi saved the day with a bouncy ball. Noah of course did great, got a little silly at times, but as usual did great. Well today was the awards ceremony and Micah was a runner up and Noah won in the Beautiful Category for 4& 5 year olds. I think he has won this category every year. I did prepare him before we went that he may not get a big trophy like last year, and he said I know. But to him this one was big too. I hope you all enjoy the pics. The ones at the end are just random pictures from the photo shoot. I am proud of my photogenic babies.

Easter Celebration
Today one of the churches in our area had an Easter Egg Hunt at a local park. Mark and I took the boys and they had tons of fun. Noah won a door prize, however he already had the prize he won so of course we had to go right after the egg hunt and exchange it at Wal-Mart. They boys hunted eggs, played in the toddler play area, and Noah loved the inflatables. He even met up with one of his little friends from school so he played with her, while the parents chilled out on a blanket. We had a picnic lunch and spent most of the morning at the park. Needless to say I did not realize how much sun we were all getting. It was the perfect day with the family and with friends.
Spring Break
This year for spring break we took a little journey to Chattanooga, Tenn. We visited Rock City and Ruby Falls on Monday. Tuesday we went to the Creative Discovery Museum which the kids loved!!! We had lunch and some ice cream down by the river. Wednesday before we headed home we went to the Aquarium. We had a lot of fun. When you ask Noah what his favorite part of our vacation was he says everything, but the indoor pool at the hotel was his very favorite. It was a fun filled time for all. Enjoy the slide show with all of our fun pictures.

Calera Jamboree
This past Saturday was Opening Day/Jamboree for Calera Dixie Youth Baseball. It began early in the morning with a parade down Hwy 31 to the baseball fields, pictures, and our first TBall Game. Luckily Saturday was a beautiful day with the high around 75, we all had a little suntan/burn. Noah had a blast being in the parade and getting to throw candy. You could still see candy on Hwy 31 tonight when we were on our way to practice. It was a special day because Big Paw Paw and GG (Noah's great grandparents) were able to see him play ball. Enjoy the pictures.

SNOW
That's right we actually had some snow Saturday morning to mid afternoon. We got just enough for Noah to experience the ground covered. He was able to make snowangels, attempt sledding, and have snowball fights with neighbors and friends. By late that afternoon I believe most of the snow had gone, but it was fun while it lasted.
